The 5th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo 2010 International Art Licensing Trade Fair |
Artkey798 has successfully completed participation in the 2010 International Art Licensing Trade Fair held in conjunction with the 5th China Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo. The trade fair involved multinational participation: ample representation of the leaders in the creative industries across the Taiwan Strait, and traditional manufacturers, who availed themselves of the opportunity provided by the fair to enhance their contacts and cooperation, furthering the international Art licensing business and mutual investment opportunities. During the trade fair artkey was particularly honored by efforts from the prestigious Yuanmingyuan Imperial Summer Palace and the Xi’an Museum of History, expressing their hopes for systematic planning and development of their tremendous cultural resource holdings. The Central Academy of Fine Arts evinced their preliminary interest in further cooperation with artkey, to conduct biennial international Art licensing design exhibition, with the biennial exhibit results incorporated into a commercial design series for full production. Among the most prominent participants in the event were leaders of industries such as the Chenghui Group and Hocheng (China) Ltd. Who announced their continuation in force of extensive cooperation agreements with artkey, especially as regards development of artkey’s Taipei National Palace Museum licensed holdings, extending to more than 1000 original artists and well over 100,000 works of art, as further examples of the fully mature international Art licensing market, while securing their cutting-edge performance as outstanding brand leaders. After the international financial crises, many traditional manufacturers have discovered the almost magical elixir of international Art licensure, allowing them to transform their identity from a “Chinese manufacturer”(Made in China) to a “Chinese cultural design creator” (Designed and Created in China); and it was precisely during this crisis that the Chinese cultural industry began to emerge as it “swam against the tide”, in realization of the arrival of a new era, as China enters “year one of the Art licensure industry”. Held concomitantly with the event was the international Art licensure industry forum, conducted with the joint moderation of Haidong Meng, Secretary General, Beijing Cultural Industry Development Foundation, Prof. Ding Yu, Vice Dean of the Humanities Institute of the Central Fine Arts Academy, Hui Chen, Chairman of the Cheng Hui Group, Shijie Qiu, Chairman of Hocheng (China) Ltd., Shengcheng Kuo of the International Art Licensing Specialized Trust and Chairman of artkey, focusing on the theme of “Art licensing”, with comprehensive analysis from the industry, official, and academic perspectives. Sina.net and online real-time broadcasters provided coverage of the events which were also featured prominently in the Beijing Daily News and and Beijing Commercial Times, along with page one reporting by the New China News Agency service.
